DEWALT Table Saw. DW745. Awesome Machine!

gidday knuckleheads uncle knackers here today is a very exciting day for me check out what I've just bought I wonder what it could be just open this up and check it out it's a Dewalt 745 10 inch or two hundred and fifty four millimeter compact jobsite table saw what an absolute beauty and believe it or not this is my first ever table saw so I am very very excited so here is boys and girls the door Walt 7:45 portable table saw and straight up from the box what do we know about it with the Walt 745 the motor size is 1,850 Watts the cutting speed is 3800 revs per minute and a maximum cutting depth is 79 millimeters which is a touch over 3 inches it'll cut a bevel up to 45 degrees and has a maximum cutting width of 610 millimeters which is around 24 inches it has dust extraction and weighs in at 22 kilograms which is pretty good if you find yourself having to cut this machine around from job to job ok let's unbox this baby plastic now I think we're going to cut this tight oh ha ha there she is now what's inside here we go done now let's see what's behind all this foam and plastic pleat here we put our fence we'll check that out later we'll take time off easy that foam piece off and the other one around the back also has some stuff in it that might be the miter gauge and the saw guard by the look of it and now let's take off this plastic ah and there she is beautiful we've got a instruction manual here now with this first walking phone we'll take this out get rid of that and what I said before this is the fence looks good a few locking mechanisms and inside here it looks like they've got the push stick that's good just clips in I like that and the other phone block you have in here and yep that is good the miter gauge locks off beautiful cutting down and the other section is the saw guard which is pretty handy for keeping all these little fingers where they're supposed to be nice so from the funnel machine you obviously got out on-off switch here which is good the big dial here this is to raise and lower the blade so if I spin this in the clockwise direction you will notice the blade raising above the table soil it's a very smooth action beautiful and anti-clockwise then she comes nice now with the 7:45 model they've got this really easy to adjust beveling system all you need to do is to loosen off this lever just like that and you can see and it's freed up the saw so you can adjust it to any angle that you like as long as it's 45 degrees or less now if you're checking out the saw blade above you'll see it moving as I'm adjusting that beveling system below once you've found your desired angle or bevel let's say it's 45 degrees just run that red pointer up until it lines up with that 45 degree mark just there lock down this lever and Bob's your uncle it's that easy now this is the fence that comes with the saw and I'm pretty sure that we align that little notch there with the screw on the rack and pinion arm so if we put that down like that the same on the other side and then all we need to do to lock that in place let's get this silver thing which fits inside that trench or not CH and then lock it down and we are done do the same both sides beautiful now the adjusting system for the rack and pinion it's very simple all you need to do is turn this knob with all the adjustments across the top here and then to lock this in position we just pull this lever back and that locks the fence in position and to release it just simply push it up bang you're done now the fence also has this other cool feature where this section here clicks out just like that and it folds down in front of the fence now what this does is that when you're cutting a wide piece of material it just helps support it as it's running through the machine it's a good idea I like it bad cough and like I mentioned earlier this is really cool little clip on the side of the fence for holding the push stick I shouldn't lose that now shouldn't probably will now on the side of the machine we also have our arbor wrench and our spindle wrench one and two which is nice lock that off beautiful around the back of the machine we've got in our ducting system which is great for collecting all that dust and on the right hand side of that dust extractor up there underneath we have I'll just get that in focus like that the motor and that is what drives the whole machine cool now the machine also comes with this miter gauge which simply fits inside this trench slide that in and you can adjust the angle just like that and tighten it off good now finally but most importantly is the blade guard assembly to install the blade guard it's a piece of cake all you need to do is inside this section here is that pin see that pin there that pin has to go inside this notch so simply grab the guard over the knot and then lock it in place bingo so that's it folks what do you think of my brand new toy I absolutely love it I don't want to use it because I don't want to scratch it looks so good but from all the reviews I've read this one here has to be one of the best on the market and how about that my first unboxing video hope you enjoyed it and as per usual a big thumbs up is greatly appreciated and if you haven't already please hit that subscribe button for more handy tips alrighty I'm off to wrap this up in a nice soft cloth and put it to bed so till next time I'm out of here Cheers
