Interior Door Will Not Stay Open | Quick Fix
if you have an interior door that won't stay open or it opens by itself then let me show you a quick fix that takes under 60 seconds to get started using nail set and a hammer or a specialty tool designed for this purpose and remove either the middle or the upper hinge pin once the pin is out take it to a hard surface like a concrete floor and lay it down flat now with your hammer get the pin a good solid strike right in the center what that does is creates a bend in the center of the pin now you may see where this is going once the pin is reinstalled and now adds more resistance than before because of the bend giving the door a better chance to stay in place and just like that the door is back to operating correctly as a side note this might not fix every door because the main issue is probably that the door is installed incorrectly but in all fairness to the carpenter it did install it I'm sure it can also happen if the hinges wear out or just after the hinge has been lubricated I also found that you might have to do this on two hinges per one door to get the results that you're looking for well that's all I got for you today I hope this video has been helpful if it has please hit that thumbs up button subscribe to the channel and hit the bell notification so that when my next video comes out you'll be notified right when that happens I'll see you in the next video
