from the saw dustin wood today i'm going to teach you how to pull shoe molding quarter round off your baseboards and keep them in good shape and reuse them if you want to you also won't do any damage to your baseboards so if you want to reuse your shoe molding there's a way to take it off where you can reuse it and you won't do any damage to the space board so when shoe mode is put in or quarter round they put a small bead of caulking right here to seal it and it's all painted so if i just grab this piece and rip it off it's going to rip my paint up on some spots on the baseboard so you take a little razor knife and you get right in the seam right here and you just cut you don't have to push too hard you just cut it you're basically cutting the bead of caulk right here you want to get it cut real good what you want to do is you want to take a putty knife [Music] and then you put it right here [Music] and then you skip behind the baseboard he just slowly pry and work down and this baseboard is in bad shape i'm gonna redo it but we're putting carpet down right here and you they told me i had to pull up the foot around so but anyway now what i'll do is i'll just take my putty knife and scrape off any paint right here and i'll sand all this down repaint it but if i was just putting these back on it's in perfect shape to reuse thanks for watching y'all have a great [Music] day
