knackers and welcome to the world premiere the very first ever DIY for Knuckleheads Q&A video so let's get cracking with that first question now this is a good question from James Blandon and has also been asked by a number of people and that is how did you get the name uncle knackers and when did you get it great question every small town in Australia has at least one kid growing up who they call knackers and that was me and it's actually a term of endearment believe it or not and the word Uncle neckers how that came about was back in 2004 when my nephew Tom who was six at the time did a portrait of myself and named It uncle knackers and ever since 2004 this laminated copy has been up on our fridge it's a pretty good resemblance mate well done now Neil lenford wants to know that since the home renovation has now been completed do we have any other plans for any major projects coming up like the Landscaping I'll let you in on a little secret Neil since the home's been done we are absolutely what's that word on the tip of me tongue that's it skin broke haven't got enough to rub two cents together so as a result we haven't done a lot in the way of plantings but I have just finished this pretty cool block retaining wall I think it came up pretty well thumbs up now David lets and a number of other guys out there have all asked the same question can they get their hands on any of these DIY for Knuckleheads shirts well at this point in time no you can't but if people show enough interest and express that in the description box down below I might think about making some shirts caps cups and other sorts of merchandise so express your interest down below and we'll see how we go now this is one from DJ Groove and DJ asks do I only do rustic or recycled projects or have I ever had a go at doing fine Furniture DJ Fine Furniture is just not for me because basically I'm just not good enough you need to see guys like John Heist the Wood Whisperer those type of Woodworkers I'm Into The Rustic genre and that is where I will be staying all right where was I I thumpin one has asked what is my favorite most reliable brand of cordless power tool well basically I've only ever used one brand and that is hang on my trusty old Makita that's not to say that any of the other brands aren't any good all of the top quality range of product like your DeWalt Milwaukee Bosch etc etc they are all fantastic and you can't really go wrong I like my Makita and that's not a paid ad by the way now Barry Roberts clay Wilson and a lot of other people have asked what type of tea do I drink in my videos because you all know how much I love my tea I use a brand called lanu which is L A N C H O and once again this is not a paid ad it's not too strong and it's not too weak place it in the cup put in some water and let it sit for about 2 minutes and wait for all that tea goodness to sep out of that bag once that's done one sugar a touch of milk and Bobs your uncle delicious now good made of Mind Durk from sumo's projects has just kicked off with a huge you Channel and he's doing really well and he's ask me the question would you advise more Aussies to have a go at YouTube you bet if you're good at woodworking or even if you just enjoy doing Woodworking and you like playing around with camera work go for it but just don't expect to make millions of dollars in your first week because it just won't happen but apart from that get out there have a go and just enjoy the whole process and well done Durk you're doing well mate now Paul heiro I hope I got your name right mate wants to make a radiator for his house out of palletwood and some copper piping and call it a pator good name but mate could be a bit problematic I'll just probably go and get a regular radiator and then cover it with some pallet wood like in these photos looks pretty good good luck with it mate Craig Miller asks uny knacks what is the meaning of life bit of a toughy mate but really it just comes down to being happy don't worry about what you don't have or what other people do have just come home at night have a nice cup of tea or a cold beer put your feet up and just keep things simple don't licated it Andy AKA Smiler Tyler is looking at investing in a router in a router table and wanted to know if I have one I don't mate and I am very jealous of anybody who does it is so cool you can do cool things with them and makes life easy I'm just jealous up next we have Leon W and Leon wants to know how old I am Le on I am 50 almost 51 feel like I'm about 70 but I'm 50 Dan Scott along with a lot of other people have asked the same question where do I get my inspiration from seriously I haven't had an original thought in my head for my entire life so basically I get all of my stuff from Pinterest or from walking through Furniture shops I see something and then do a little twist to it and that's how it all happens get on Pinterest that's the go Ryan Hall wants to know for a couple of years and then I was a truck driver worked in a Window Factory and I was even a laboratory technician that's a bit of a mouthful but what happened was about 5 years ago a few things changed and I made the decision to shut the carpentry business down and I became a house Dad shock horror so in between sweeping the floor and cooking dinner I knock up the odd YouTube video and basically that is me now the infamous Dr Jackal Craig Allen and a number of other guys have asked what actually inspired you to start making YouTube videos well to make a long story short it happened
